In the movie “The Social Network”, the purpose of this movie, demonstrates the latest way to start a website that allows individuals to use their communication skills and interact with others. Mark Zuckerberg’s website “The Facebook” has officially proven to others; the ability to stream live, spread and share news, follow, and stay connected to others is all possible. Mark Zuckerberg’s creation of “the social network” allowed him to go into business with his roommate Eduardo Saverin by using a perceptual schema to come together and begin build a comfortable relationship, but eventually their relationship caused betrayal, selfishness, and a ruined friendship. Mark engaged his Psychological constructs and became careless against any and everything that wasn’t a part of “Facebook”.
Mark Zuckerberg’s experience with computer coding and software, and Eduardo’s excellence with algorithm, gave both young men an advantage to work together as partners like in a marriage to create “the Facebook” website properly and legally. Mark Zuckerberg has plenty experience with the involvement of computer coding. Mark already created his own blog in the past, and felt the need to show his competence face to his classmates: and realized he could create multiple web pages like “the social network” not only for his best interest, but also for his classmates, students at Harvard, and people all around the world. Once Mark thought of such a brilliant idea, he then convinced his roommate Eduardo Saverin to join him to build a trustworthy relationship based on his excellence in algorithm and create “the social network”. This movie simplifies Mark and Eduardo coming together as partners as if they were in a marriage, and using communication codes in creating a popular social network. There was a specific part in the movie where Mark and Eduardo gathered together to discuss their first equation of algorithm to properly begin the Internet coding to start their “Facebook” website. The relationship between Mark and Eduardo is like a husband and wife relationship; where one plays the role of being in charge, and the other follows along to work together as a team and build trust within each other to create the social network.
Mark and Eduardo’s commitment to making Facebook has sadly brainwashed Mark into replacing not only Eduardo himself, but also his primary position as CFO of “The Facebook”. The moment Eduardo gave Mark money to launch the website, and went their separate ways for a short summer period; Mark instantly replace Eduardo with Sean Parker when his notices Sean’s recency effect in dealing with algorithm. After Sean Parker joined Mark for the launch of “Facebook”, Eduardo came back to rejoin Mark: and found out that Mark betrayed him by becoming partners with Sean Parker. Eduardo immediately began to question Mark about his position as CFO and why Sean Parker is taking over as CFO. Unfortunately, Mark didn’t really feel as though he betrayed Eduardo in any way, and he explained to Eduardo that Sean was only positioned CFO because Ed was supposed to be in New York for the summer. Eduardo was still upset because in his mind he believed Mark betrayed their relationship as friends and partners. Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin’s trustworthy relationship almost caused them to turn away from each other because of Mark’s betrayal.
Mark’s obsession with “The Facebook” specifically forced him to act greedy and selfish towards Eduardo and destroyed their relationship as friends and business partners. “The Facebook” webpage was a tremendous success for Mark, and allowed him to acknowledge his fellowship face during the making of the Facebook page and mentally becoming obsess. Mark became so obsess with this page, he began to think like a greedy self- centered inventor that is selfish towards his team and everyone that helped him make this page possible. The more “Facebook” became successful, the more selfish Mark became, even regarding Eduardo. Once Eduardo noticed Mark’s selfish ways; he uses his face threatening act and threatens to take him to court for his fair share for the launch of Facebook: because of Mark and his selfishness, the friendship between him and Eduardo was destroyed.
The creation of Mark Zuckerberg’s “the social network” sadly forced him to ruin his friendship/relationship with Eduardo. In addition to both Mark and Eduardo using their communication skills, to express their feelings towards each other; they both started using these skills by using their perceptual schema to come together and build a comfortable relationship and a successful web page. Eventually their relationship caused betrayal, and selfishness between the two and Mark’s Psychological constructs made him careless of anything outside of the “Facebook”.
