What is aelf?
aelf is an open source blockchain operating system that aims to be a complete solution for businesses wishing to harness the advantages of blockchain technology- in fact the aelf team is aiming for it to become the 'Linux system' of the blockchain business community.
To solve the problem that current operating systems are incapable of efficiently running decentralized Apps and blockchain is having a hard time scaling, aelf focuses on two innovations: side chains and a unique governance system. Each side chain is dedicated to a specific type of Smart Contract and side chains can't interact with each other, so they communicate through the main chain when transmitting information.
aelf token (ELF) holders can take part in the governance system to vote on which aelf nodes become mining nodes. In return, those nodes can decide how to distribute mining bonuses to other nodes and stakeholders.
