What is Nano?
The Nano project was launched in 2015 and is an open source cryptocurrency that is dedicated to removing inefficiencies that are problems for other digital currencies. Nano has a fast and fee free network that can be used by anyone and uses software reffered to as a Block Lattice- which is a data structure in which all accounts each have their own blockchain, rather than competing with others on a central chain- to allow instantaneous settlement of payments via the network.
The Nano protocol was designed to be decentralized, easy to integrate for developers and accessible to anyone who wants to use it. Nano doesn't rely on mining to maintain the network, which means it's more ecologically friendly than cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Nano has created an organization called The Nano Foundation that empowers individuals by teaching them how to use Nano and take advantage of its fee free nature, so they can connect to the global economy in a cheap and sustainable way.
