Well, Donaldson is getting her information from Paul Krugman, whom a commenter named Rachel flat-out called "an absolute moron," which Donaldson took issue with. A lot of people with these insane takes get them directly from propagandists masquerading as prophets; "how dare you question [insert vaunted pundit here]!" It makes me wonder how the hell Krugman ever got to be "well-respected" in the first place; the last time he got something right had to have been before I was even born.
