Common courtesy (much like common sense) isn't so common anymore, it would seem. This in turn fuels the delusions of nice guys and do-gooders alike. I sometimes wonder if the plague of rudeness is some kind of psyop meant to keep people living in fear of each other while being presented with the social equivalent of poisoned honey as the only alternative.
