I prefer to bait my mousetraps with raisins covered in peanut butter; very effective. I know it's not relevant, but I thought I'd share that. Pests in my house eat well before they die. Actually, all animals in my proximity generally eat well before they die, even the wild ones. This is the way of the sustainable farmer.
