But that day began much earlier than Valstagna. It was Easter Monday, 
So in the company of our beloved Shyla, we set off towards Oliero, the place that houses the splendid semi-submerged caves.
To give life to the caves is the position at the foot of the Asiago plateau, where much of the water flows and is filtered by the entire mountain system. It is claimed that up to 80% of the water accumulated in the plateau can flow into the torrential rains. Classic example of Karst phenomenon, which can be found more frequently in the geographical areas of Slovenia and Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Over the centuries the flow has dug and worked the rock of the mountain from which the Oliero river flows, forming a vast system of caves, which can also be visited by the public, via boat excursions guided by speleologists.
Unfortunately for us that day it was not possible to visit due to the water level, but with Shyla I don't think it would have been possible in any case and the day was still dedicated to her. But we will definitely be back to visit them inside and share them.

However, the journey inside the caves allows you to visit only a small part of them, because for the most part they are submerged by the source, which underwater speleologists have explored for 10km, but has not yet been completely explored, although it is claimed to be one of the largest complexes in Italy and perhaps in Europe.
Even the outside of the caves, where there is a park that hosts visitors is very beautiful and suggestive, Shyla had a lot of fun exploring this new landscape in her eyes, but
Especially when we went down to the museum which houses the amphibious and fish species that live in the waters of the Oliero river and in the cave complex.
The Proteus.
Among these many common species, such as trout, grayling, salamanders, but one amphibian amazed us, we didn't know it and we had never seen it. Personally, as an animal and nature lover, I'm hardly familiar with a species or at least not new to my eyes, but the Proteus was new in every sense. A species of amphibian, not native to the caves, because some specimens were imported from the Postumia Caves in the early 1800s and recent research has ascertained that they are found in large numbers in Oliero.
The Proteus is a particular creature that lives only in submerged caves, spending its entire life underwater and in the dark. It has no eyes, but those species of red gills are a developed sensory organ, which allows it to orientate itself perfectly. It also has unique abilities, if it loses a limb it is able to self-regenerate. Reading, I discovered that it is different from most amphibians, because it does not develop but remains in the larval stage for life.
In these cases, I always think when nature and the most unlikely animals that exist in the world are amazing and when you think you've seen so much, you always discover that there is a world of infinite possibilities and surprises out there and you just go out and look for them. to amaze you how beautiful and wonderful nature is and what it can create, let's preserve it with the heart.

Cos矛 in compagnia della nostra amata Shyla, siamo partiti in direzione Oliero, la localit脿 che ospita le splendide grotte semi sommerse.
A dare vita alle grotte 猫 la posizione ai piedi dell'Altopiano di Asiago, dove sgorga gran parte dell'acqua che viene filtrata dall'intero sistema montuoso. Si sostiene possa arrivare a confluire fino al 80% dell'acqua accumulata nell'altopiano nelle piogge torrenziali. Classico esempio di fenomeno Carsico, che si pu貌 trovare pi霉 frequentemente nelle aree geografiche della Slovenia e del Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Nei secoli il flusso ha scavato e lavorato la roccia della montagna da cui sgorga il fiume Oliero, formando un vasto sistema di grotte, visitabili anche dal pubblico, tramite escursioni in barca guidate da speleologi.
Sfortunatamente noi quel giorno non era possibile effettuare la visita per il livello dell'acqua, ma con Shyla non credo si sarebbe potuto in ogni caso e la giornata era comunque dedicata a lei. Ma sicuramente torneremo per poterle visitare all'interno e le condivideremo.
Entrata delle Grotte di Oliero.
Tuttavia il viaggio all'interno delle grotte permette di visitare solo una piccola parte di esse, perch茅 per la maggior parte risultano sommerse dalla sorgente, che gli speleologi subacquei hanno esplorato per ben 10km, ma non 猫 ancora stato completamente esplorato, nonostante si sostiene sia uno dei complessi pi霉 grandi d'Italia e forse d'Europa.
Anche la parte esterna delle grotte, dove si trova un parco che ospita i visitatori 猫 molto bella e suggestiva, Shyla si 猫 divertita molto a esplorare questo paesaggio nuovo ai suoi occhi, ma anche
Soprattutto quando siamo scesi nel museo che ospita le specie anfibie e di pesci che vivono nelle acque del fiume Oliero e nel complesso di grotte.
Il Proteo.
Tra queste molte specie comuni, come trote, temoli, salamandre, ma un anfibio ci ha stupito, non lo conoscevamo e non lo avevamo mai visto. Personalmente, come amante degli animali e della natura, difficilmente non conosco una specie o perlomeno non 猫 nuova ai miei occhi, ma il Proteo era nuovo in tutti i sensi. Una specie di anfibio, non autoctono delle grotte, perch茅 furono importati alcuni esemplari dalle Grotte di Postumia nei primi anni del 800 e ricerche recenti hanno constatato che si trovano in numerosa presenza a Oliero.
Il Proteo 猫 una particolare creatura che vive solo nelle grotte sommerse, passando l'intera vita sott'acqua e al buio. Non possiede occhi, ma quelle specie di branchie rosse, sono un sviluppato organo sensoriale, che gli permette di orientarsi perfettamente. Inoltre ha delle capacit脿 uniche, se perde un arto 猫 in grado di auto rigenerarsi. Leggendo, ho scoperto che 猫 diverso dalla maggior parte degli anfibi, perch茅 non si sviluppa ma rimane allo stato larvale per tutta la vita.
In questi casi, penso sempre quando sia strepitosa la natura e gli animali pi霉 improbabili che esistono al mondo e quando pensi di aver visto tanto, scopri sempre che c'猫 un mondo di infinite possibilit脿 e sorprese la fuori e ti basta uscire a cercarle, per stupirti di quando 猫 bella e meravigliosa la natura e quello che sa creare, preserviamola con il cuore.
