[All the fish you see in the images have been caught according to the rules of sport fishing and no kill, treating them with care and releasing them immediately after taking the photo. If you see wounds in some carp, those are due to rubbing during the spawning period.]
It all began in 1996, when I turned 6 and my father gave me my first fishing rod, which I still jealously keep today as a splendid memory of when this great passion was born, it has accompanied me throughout my life.
I've never been a picky child, I wasn't afraid to get dirty and that new adventure thrilled me so much and I still remember the first fish I caught as a child, the classic paid lake trout, but for me it was an indescribable emotion. I felt the blood rushing through my veins and the adrenaline soaring, my heart was making itself felt stronger and stronger in my chest... A unique mix of sensations that still today after almost 27 years from my first capture nothing has changed , with every fish and every challenge, that great emotion always comes back, which makes me feel extremely alive and part of the nature that surrounds me.

Tutto iniziò nel 1996, quando compì 6 anni e mio padre mi regalò la mia prima canna da pesca, che ancora oggi conservo gelosamente come un splendido ricordo di quando è nata questa grande passione mi accompagna da tutta la vita.
Non sono mai stato un bambino schizzinoso, non avevo paura di sporcarmi e quella nuova avventura mi emozionava tantissimo e ricordo ancora oggi i primi pesci che pescai da bambino, le classiche trote da laghetto a pagamento, ma per me fu un'emozione indescrivibile, sentii il sangue scorrere forte nelle mie vene e l'adrenalina salire a mille, il cuore che nel petto si faceva sentire sempre più forte... Un mix unico di sensazioni che ancora oggi dopo quasi 27 anni dalla mia prima cattura non è cambiato nulla, a ogni pesce e ogni sfida, si ripresenta sempre quella grande emozione, che mi fa sentire estremamente vivo e parte della natura che mi circonda.
From then on I began to always look for new challenges, first from the ditches and small streams, which I reached by bicycle with a backpack on my back and the minimum, a fishing rod, and a few tools to try some catches... More than once time I came home without any prey, but I was happy I tried, because then when the time came to catch a fish you redeemed yourself from all the previous efforts and the joy was immense for a kid.
Da li a breve iniziai a cercare sempre nuove sfide, prima dalle rogge e i piccoli torrenti, che raggiungevo in bicicletta con lo zaino in spalle e il minimo, una canna da pesca, e pochi attrezzi per tentare qualche cattura... Erano più le volte che tornavo a casa senza nessuna preda, ma ero felice di averci provato, perchè poi quando arrivava il momento che si catturava una pesce ti riscattavi da tutti gli sforzi precedenti e la gioia era immensa per un ragazzino.
Today this aspect is a little different, being able to go out fishing only a few times a year due to all the various commitments that life brings us, going empty is always a bit sad, but I try to look the positive side and I enjoy a regenerating day in the middle of nature and in the company of good friends.
Over time and over the years, however, we always try to increase the difficulty bar, until I discovered extreme fishing, which in practice involves catching big fish, with a free fishing rod and not fixed with a support, in order to have the perception of the fish and its strength directly on one's arms and on the whole body. A 1 vs 1 fight where whoever resists the most wins.
Oggi giorno questo aspetto è un po' diverso, potendo uscire a pesca solo alcune volte all'anno per via di tutti i vari impegni che la vita ci porta, fare un'uscita a vuoto è sempre un po' triste, ma cerchi di guardare il lato positivo e ti godi comunque una giornata rigenerante in mezzo alla natura e in compagnia di buoni amici.
Con il passare del tempo e degli anni però si cerca sempre di aumentare l'asticella di difficoltà, fino a quando non ho scoperto la pesca estrema, che in pratica si tratta di pescare grossi pesci, con canna da pesca libera e non fissati con un supporto, in modo da avere la percezione del pesce e della sua forza direttamente sulle proprie braccia e su tutto il corpo. Un combattimento 1 vs 1 dove chi resiste di più vince.
Some people think that fishing is boring and sedentary... Well let's talk about it, it depends on the type of fishing that is practiced, of course if you talk to me about still fishing, who sit all day with a fixed fishing rod catching small fish of a few grams and ounces, then yes they agree it's boring. But if instead we talk about having to stray through the bush and vegetation even for kilometers, carrying kilos of equipment behind you, fighting with fish weighing 20/30 kg even for a whole hour in line, with your groin starting to bleed for the pressure that the bottom of the rod exerts to leverage the fish, I don't think it's so boring and sedentary... These are experiences that you have to try to believe...
Alcuni pensano che la pesca sia noiosa e sedentaria...Beh parliamone, dipende dal tipo di pesche che viene praticata, certo che se mi parli di pesca al colpo, che rimangono tutto il giorno seduti con una canna da pesca fissa pescando piccoli pesci di pochi grammi e etti, allora si sono d'accordo che sia noioso. Ma se invece parliamo di doverti fare strata tra boscaglia e vegetazione anche per chilometri, portandoti chili su chili di attrezzatura dietro, combattere con pesci di 20/30 Kg anche per un'ora intera di fila, con i l'inguine che inizia a sanguinare per la pressione che esercita il fondo della canna per fare leva sul pesce, non credo sia così noiosa e sedentaria... Sono quelle esperienze che bisogna provare per credere...
In my career as a fisherman I have brought many people with me to spend a day in the company of nature and experience the thrill of extreme fishing. Believe me that all the people I took fishing with me said the same thing more or less..."I imagined it different, instead it's cool!" That was the answer I got every time at the end of the day.
With this post I want to share only some photos of the best catches of these last 15 years, sorry if some have been present in other posts, because I don't remember all the ones I have already used, but most of them are unpublished because many years have passed since those catches, in fact you will also see in my photos a great physical change, where before I was much more fleshy and plump, up to the present day. I have not only inserted photos of the fish, but also some fishing moments and what surrounded me, such as the tents for when I spent several days fishing with friends.
Nella mia carriera da pescatore ho portato con me molte persone per passare una giornata in compagnia tra la natura e far provare l'ebrezza della pesca estrema. Credetemi che tutte le persone che ho portato a pesca con me, hanno detto la stessa cosa più o meno...”Me lo immaginavo diverso, invece è una figata!” Questa è stata la risposta che ho ricevuto ogni volta alla fine della giornata.
Con questo post voglio condividere solo alcune foto delle migliori catture di questi ultimi 15 anni, scusatemi se alcune sono state presenti in altri post, perchè non ricordo tutte quelle che ho già usato, ma la maggior parte sono inedite perchè sono passati molti anni da quelle catture, infatti vedrete anche nelle mie foto un grande cambiamento fisico, dove prima ero molto più in carne e paffuto, fino ad arrivare ai giorni nostri. Non ho inserito solo le foto dei pesci, ma anche alcuni momenti di pesca e quello che mi circondava, come le tende per quando ho passato più giorni in pesca assieme agli amici.
I have dedicated my whole life up to now to this passion and I'm sure it will be by my side until the last day, that's what I want to do. Dreaming one day, perhaps also thanks to cryptocurrencies, of being able to travel the world like Geremy Wade, in search of the River Monsters, where in my small way I have already started this adventure in Italian waters, also obtaining good results, but the road is still long and a day I would like to show you my fishing posts around the world, at least this is the project and my secret dream.

Ho dedicato tutta la mia vita fino ad oggi a questa passione e sono sicurissimo che sarà al mio fianco fino all'ultimo giorno, è quello che voglio fare. Sognando un giorno, magari grazie anche alle cryptovalute di poter girare il mondo come Geremy Wade, alla ricerca dei River Monsters, dove nel mio piccolo ho già iniziato questa avventura nelle acque Italiane, ottenendo anche buoni risultati, ma la strada è ancora lunga e un giorno vorrei farvi vedere i miei post a pesca in giro per il mondo, perlomeno è questo il progetto e il mio sogno nel cassetto.
