Hello lovely people ! This time i decided to cover a song ( more like transcribe it ! ) note by note , which is unusual for my uploads since all of them are improvisations :D But i felt the urge to play In Flames riffs after discovering that my Amplitube 3 software is capable of some absolutely monster tones ! Today is was amazed at how well this thing sounds , tbh no difference between that and the real thing . I've used Orange Rockerverb 50 cranked all the way and boosted with overdrive in front of the amp . Couldn't be happier with the tone ! Enough of the technical side of things , i've chosen a live version of this song played on Wacken 2003 . The crowd in there was crazy ! Even today when i watch that video of 100 000 people jumping to the chorus , it sends shivers down my spine . Also , since the guitars in the original recording are multi tracked , the band couldn't possibly play all of them with just two guitar players so i played the melody in the verse which actually isn't being played on live recording . I like to think that i have enhanced the performance a bit with my guitars :3 Hardcore In Flames fans are gonna say : Naaaaah Only For The Weak ... such a classic In Flames song you could have done something different if you claim to be such a fan of the band ( which btw i am ) , and i'd say in my defense that in the future i will ! And also , Only For The Weak is THE melo-death song ! I remember putting myself to sleep with this song playing under my pillow when i was 12 :D But definitely will cover some more ''obscure'' songs of theirs ( their older material mostly ) , since i have loved this band ever since i first heard it as a child .
Cheers to everyone and enjoy :)
