What a beautiful space and excellent post - this has definitely given me some inspiration. We're lucky enough to have a reasonable sized back garden; it certainly isn't massive but is big enough for a flowerbed and a small vegetable patch. The rest is taken by kids stuff! Our back garden is north facing so we have a mixture of scorched and never sees the sun.

We have a good sized driveway out front surrounded by gravel. I think I will look at reworking this and dig some beds for wild flowers.
