RE: Has it really been that long?

I had so much "what if" stuff in here that hasn't been touched since moving ... and before. If I've not used or looked for it in the past 12 months then it's likely to be going. I say if I haven't

Nothing to see here ... other than a rake in reception. The thought of what the need for that is would have killed my desires immediately.

RE: History, food and a boat crash in Amsterdam

There are so many great places to eat there. You're never really too far away from anything.

RE: Morning Run: Chill hills

It's a lovely area around there. I've still not found any decent track routes to walk from here - well those that are easily accessible from the house. I've managed to find a replacement now I'm unable

RE: The nostalgia of classic gaming

I can't do complex games. I play to relax and to manage my busy and often somewhat negative mind. Anything too complicated just ends up causing frustration. I've been playing Sonic and Road Rash recently

RE: The nostalgia of classic gaming

I still recall the Pentium 486 sx25 PC we got sometime in the early 1990's. Although I recall getting hooked on the early versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator, my sister was the PC gamer as she got hooked

RE: A 1980's night in - Retro Sim fun on the Commodore 64.

Yes, the Mastertronic art was quite distinctive, and I seem to recall some box art on Sega games being similar. They were merged with Virgin and then acquired by Sega which might explain it. I just about

The kids have showed some interest, but I've not found a game that they really fancy yet. I've got some BASIC manuals so will see if there are any simple programs they can try. Their attention span is

RE: What a week!

THe only DIY job I've ever done myself. We had a open plan kitchen diner in the previous house and the father-out-law offered to lay the flooring for us; I offered to pay in beer not for a moment thinking

Amsterdam is such as fantastic city. You’re not too far from where I used to work, I was on the other side of the river to the east. The bar at the Hotel American is worth a visit if you get a chance.

RE: Moody beach walk

Thank you. I take quite a few of the same view so worry about boring people. No two days ever seem the same though.

Thank you. These are probably near my favourite I’ve taken. These were taken from my phone and edited with Adobe Lightroom (also on my phone). iPhone 11 Pro.

RE: Tomintoul Whisky, just a small one

Those noodles look great! Noodles are my "thing" - I just love them. I've been breaking out the recipe books for more noodle ideas and will be attempting a Ramen again when the weather cools

RE: Early September Beach walk

We've had such a great summer - it's still unusually warm here today at 25c. The breeze usually chills it right down. I love the heat but also enjoy the cosiness of winter but I'm not looking forward to

RE: Reinvigerating old stuff - life of an Apple fanboy

I've worked in IT my entire working career but still far from an expert on these things. I'm happy whacking things together but often need to ask friends for help when it comes to specifications etc. YouTube

RE: Wheels Festival - Great Yarmouth July 2022

Good to hear from you 😀 As far as summers go it hasn't been too bad for once! Lovely and warm these past few days, we've managed to escape the extremes so far and looks like it'll be the same for the

Yes, there're a few cars I've owned which I now think "if only I'd garaged them". Some went for scrap and would now be with £15k even as non-runners. Hindsight's a wonderful thing 🤣

Absolutely, I tend to love anything from the 70s, 80s and 90s. I've had the odd sporty car and am a bit of a petrol head but that being said, I'm pretty conscious of the negative impact on the environment.

It is indeed! Although cases are on the rise it's a good balanced risk when out doors. It was certainly nice to get some fresh sea air.
