The first yellow/green one is just stunning.

RE: My Actifit Report Card: March 30 2020

I can't get used to how much quieter it is. I went out for a tad under 4 miles this morning and think I saw about a dozen people...which is good. I could have spent much of it walking in the middle of

RE: Staying healthy in isolation

Your herb garden looks fantastic. My study window ledge would be great for this but the cat now seems to own it. Anything I put on there gets pushed off within minutes.

RE: Jamming on a little Floyd

Sounding great Steve! A lesson I shall have to watch through in the not too distant future.

I've just carried out my first trade using Blocktrades - lovely and simple ... just the way I like things to be :)

RE: Sunday 29th March 2020 Day 6 Coronavirus Lockdown

Roast dinners are the holy grail! We have one every pretty much every Sunday without fail. The only thing that may scupper a roast is a BBQ ... but as you say the weather was pretty shocking. My wife went

RE: Old photo of the day - 2 Leighton Buzzard narrow gauge railway

It's a nice little trip out ... when open. I seem to recall there being a real age range of this involved from 10 - 80(ish). Lovely to see the younger generations showing an interest in local history.

RE: Lots of spare time - what to do?

Thanks Steve, fingers crossed. I've applied to my local Tesco for now as it'd be good just to be doing something useful! I hope there is a need for temps when things start to return to normal. Probably

RE: Volunteers use 3D printing to print $11,000 valve for $1 that was unavailable

A fellow villager from where I used to reside is using his to create the head mask structure for the PPE face mask. It's amazing how something purchased as a personal gadget can suddenly become so essential.

RE: Confessions of a Bored Geek

Define good reason lol. There's quite a story behind it which I can share but not publicly. Ultimately I'd not been there for two years so have no recourse.

No, was apparently permanent :) We do indeed! I've been struggling with my back and sciatica so haven't ventured too far this week. Going to try the slightly firmer mattress in the spare room tonight to

RE: Friday 27th March 2020 Day 4 Coronavirus Lockdown

I feels so much the same doesn't it. I keep wanting to head out for a run but use my exercise outing out walking the dog in the morning. I was hoping I could combine the two but she'd much rather head

RE: Confessions of a Bored Geek

All I could think about in January was the time I had booked off in March. Lost my job and finished on the 6th March and now all I want to do is get up and go to work in the morning. I can't even pull

It was either this to tackle the kids bedrooms - I'd go for this any day!

Certainly eating the bright side of the rainbow there! It was a stunning morning here on the east coast yesterday but is the opposite today. My body feels to be screaming out for fresh food at the moment

RE: Baking on lockdown

I managed to grab some wholemeal flower from the Coop this morning so will make a few batches over the next week or so. I quite fancy trying some rolls. I have a small amount of strong white flour left

That's a new one on me! I'll have a poke about later and see what I can learn. Finally just about finished in here now. I can tell it's so much better as the dog can now spread out on the floor behind

RE: Thursday 26th March 2020 Day 3 Coronavirus Lockdown

I'm still to join in with the Joe Wicks thing, it sounds pretty intense (but fun) based on the noises and huffing my girls make when joining in. Unfortunately doesn't stop them arguing though.

RE: Not parkrun 20200328

I've been pretty good on my exercise bike recently and have been using it 5 times a week. I'd like to run with the dog in the morning but she really doesn't seem to like it, she's even slower than me!
