RE: I can't believe it still works! Putting life back into old tech.

Unfortunately I need it running Windows 10 for the degree I'm doing. I've been working on my MacBook Air (M2), but the course is based on Windows. I've been wasting far too much time trying to translate

I've a Commodore 64 that I fear will need a recap. I've not opened it up to find out yet! Ignorance is bliss....until it all goes wrong.

It's doing its job wonderfully. I don't need to tax it too much as it's mostly for studying on. Saying that, thanks to Steam I gave Monkey Island a go yesterday and it struggled with temperatures so I

Have it running on Windows 10 and it's going well with the 16GB RAM it has. Was going to whack Linux on it, but I'll be using it for my degree and that is being troublesome enough as it is, without adding

RE: It's that bit between Christmas and new year....

Thank you - I hope it's good to you also. I think the C25K thing will be a long slog. It always seems to trigger some injury or a gout attack. I think I'm going to be fighting fire with fire with taking

Thanks Steve and yes, we absolutely need to get together again in 2025.

RE: The wanderer returns

I've had a look at HiveSQL today - I think I found info about it in one of your Brit List posts. That's something I've got on my list to take a look at this week. My first assignment is due in two weeks

I added that and some normal paprika this time around too. It’s the second time I’ve made it, the first time it was tasty but missing something. It can take lots of smokiness 😁. I hope you’re keeping

RE: Welcome back to the beach

It can get busy a little further north at the other end of the village, but generally not silly busy. We've such a long stretch of beach here with parking at either end and a little in the middle, people

RE: Vegetarian Supper: Pasta alla Norma

I've not tried Gusto but will give them a look. I got a good discount offer from Hello Fresh again so we'll be having those 3 meals a week for the next month.

It really was rather delicious! I love aubergine and have been on the lookout for more ways to cook with it.

RE: 2024 Book 1: The Queen's Fool

The Cromwells appear in the Ashes of London series too. They get about a bit 😂 I think I signed up to Goodreads years ago but to be honest, have never really done anything with it. I'll have a ganders

RE: Another Sunrise. A different camera.

It was pretty dark when I got down there so managed to pretty much see the full "golden hour". Also saw my first live crab on the beach (normal one not hermit) along with a harbour porpoise.

RE: Another Sunrise. A different camera.

Thank you! Although I've noticed I managed to post one with a wonky horizon. It seems the mental note to fix it before posting escaped me 🙂

RE: The first post of 2024 - Spring sunrise at the beach

It’s being a proper sod I can tell thee! I’ve tried to be a brave little soldier but my gosh, I’m amazed I made it through the nigh 😁. Pleased you like them. I guess it’s the greatest compliment ever

RE: Another book done! Something a little festive.

I've not perfected the habit of reading a page a day yet, but do so more often than not. Slowly but surely I feel I find myself thinking about things differently. Especially sound ones circle of control

I've never really tinkered with too many physical pedals. I've never quite got my head around the impact the order of pedals have within a chain of devices.
