"At this point we are still not sure what this means for the future of Steem."
The decision to sell Steemit came because its management likely realized that it was a rapidly failing platform, and would go out out of business very shortly under its current business model. Selling it was the only viable option left. By selling it, Steemit will be under completely new management which will mean at least 2 major changes:
Steemit will no longer be part or the Steem Blockchain; It will instead become part of Tron's...by far a much better system, as well as a much higher CAP; #13 vs only #77 for Steem.
Steemit will more than likely no longer be under Steemit's management and Witness system. It will instead be under Tron's, which no doubt result in massive changes to the Steemit Forum platform, as it is migrated into Tron's Blockchain.
I am sure that there will be some long-time Steemit members, such as @themarkymark and his band of down-voting criminals, who will not like these changes, but it was because of them that Steemit owners were forced to take such drastic measures in the first place. For far too long these scumbags cheated the vast majority of Steemit members out of their justly earned curator rewards, while at the same time filling their own greedy pockets. They manipulated the system to their own personal advantage. Tron will end this abuse!
