"Sometimes, community policing is required in decentralise community, at least to have some controlled measure."
I agree completely! A certain degree of control, censorship if you will, often needs to be implemented, otherwise as you suggested, we would all be subjected to little more than a forum filled with spam (and porn), and other such undesirable content. The problem however arises when those in control like @themarkymark, chooses to manipulate the system solely to their own personal advantage, rather than to that of the community at large.
Unfortunately @themarkymark and a few like him have manipulated the system to their personal advantage, by downvoting anyone who posses a potential threat to their corrupt activities. These scumballs have manipulated the Steemit system to cheat the vast majority of Steemit members out of their well-earned money while at the same time, raking in $1000s of dollars for themselves. These few scumbags get 99%+ of all curator rewards, which the rest of us are left with virtually nothing at all. And the worst part is that most Steemit members are not informed enough to know that they are being cheated so badly, and those that do, quickly leave Steemit for good as soon as they find out. It's rather sad, really! But thank goodness, things are about to change, and assholes like
@themarkymark hopefully will be sent packing. Personally I would put pricks like
@themarkymark in prison where they belong, and throw away the key, because they are engaged in the worst kind of fraud and deceit....clearly the main reason that Steemit was destined to fail as it has.
Thanks for the tip! It was much appreciated. :)
