I realize that Steem and Steemit are different, but the same argument you are making could easily be made for many other coins as well. Take Ripple and XRP for example. That pair only goes to prove my point. While there are more and more institutions adopting Ripple's technology every day, its coin (XRP) is actually going down in value.
So tell me, unless XRP actually goes up in value (and there is no sign of that happening any time soon), what value would there be in a 10 or even a 100 fold adoption increase? And that is my point! Adoption means nothing without a relative increase in value.
