Adoption means nothing unless value increases. What point would there be in 100 million people using Steem if its value remained at it's current price of just over $0.13?
What you really need to do is compare the coin's ICO price with its current trading price. Only then will you have a fair indication of growth, and ultimately profit potential. Bitcoin was issued at only a few pennies per coin, but is now trading at just over $8000 US. Steem on the other hand was issued at approximately $0.64 per coin, and is now trading at just over $0.13. In addition, Steem almost went bankrupt less than a year ago, and as a result, had to dismiss 70% of its staff as part of its cost cutting measures.
