A few months ago looking through the list of free games on steam, a title caught my attention, it was a Battle Royale and I decided to give it a try, after all my priority was to find games that I could play with friends, so we installed it, we tried it and here I come to tell you my opinion about this game after spending many hours, I come to tell you some bad things and some good things I've had since I installed it.
Hace unos meses buscando entre la lista de juegos gratis de steam, llamó mi atención un título, se trataba de un Battle Royale y decidí darle una oportunidad, después de todo mi prioridad era buscar juegos que pudiese jugar con amigos, así que lo instalamos, lo probamos y acá les vengo a contar mi opinión acerca de este juego luego de dedicarle muchas horas, les vengo a contar algunas cosas malas y algunas cosas buenas que he tenido desde que lo instalé.
Super Animal Royale is a Battle Royale (duuuh) with isometric perspective, with cartoonish graphics which makes the "violence" childish, the participants of the Battle Royale are animals, there are several animals that you can unlock as a Cat, a Fox or even a dog, This is purely cosmetic as they all have the same characteristics except for the visuals, the games are very fast, the map is not so big but it is very varied in what we refer to biomes, there are icy places, desert areas, wooded areas and some other things, all this makes us have to adapt to certain environments when fighting.
Super Animal Royale es un Battle Royale (duuuh) con perspectiva isométrica, con gráficos caricaturescos lo que hace que la "violencia" sea infantil, los participantes del Battle Royale son animales, hay varios animales que puedes desbloquear como un Gato, un Zorro o hasta un perro, esto es puramente cosmético ya que todos tienen las mismas características a excepción de las visuales, las partidas son muy rápidas, el mapa no es tan grande pero es muy variado en lo que nos referimos a biomas, hay lugares gélidos, zonas desérticas,zonas boscosas y algunas cosas más, todo esto hace que tengamos que adaptarnos a ciertos entornos al momento de pelear.
El juego es gratuito y en ningún momento he visto que haya Pay2Win, todo lo que puedes conseguir con dinero real es meramente cosmético, e incluso si no le metes dinero real igual puedes conseguir skins para darle variedad al juego, frecuentemente estarás desbloqueando nuevas skins a medida que juegas, yo en pocas horas ya tenía muchas prendas para mi personaje y algunas skins de armas, después de todo es un juego que en cuanto a mecánicas y jugabilidad no varía mucho creo que lo único que no me gusta de acá es que las skins de las armas solo cambian el color, pero si analizas un poco te darás cuenta que la perspectiva de la cámara y el estilo visual del juego no es permite que las armas tengan mucho detalle.
The game is free and at no time I have seen that there is Pay2Win, everything you can get with real money is merely cosmetic, and even if you do not put real money you can still get skins to give variety to the game, you will frequently be unlocking new skins as you play, I in a few hours I already had many clothes for my character and some weapon skins, after all it is a game that in terms of mechanics and gameplay does not vary much I think the only thing I do not like here is that the weapon skins only change the color, but if you analyze a little you will realize that the camera perspective and the visual style of the game does not allow the weapons to have much detail.
And there is not a large number of weapons, but I think the amount that there is is enough for a battle royale, even so there is a set of things that makes the game does not vary much, I mean, of course it is a number of weapons suitable for a battle royale, different types of them for each situation, but that along with other features of the game makes it something that does not vary much, every match feels the same, there is not so much randomness, but even so it is a game that will give you a good few hours of fun, and even more when you play it with friends, even to me it has not bored me at all, I still enjoy every game, but I'm sure at some point I will get tired of it as it has happened to me with other battle royale.
Y es que no hay una gran cantidad de armas, pero creo que la cantidad que hay es suficiente para un battle royale, aun así hay un conjunto de cosas que hace que el juego no varíe mucho, quiero decir, claro es una cantidad de armas aptas para un battle royale, distintos tipos de ellas para cada situación, pero eso junto a otras características del juego hace que no sea algo que varíe mucho, cada partida se siente igual, no hay tanta aleatoriedad, pero aun así es un juego que te dará unas buenas horas de diversión, y más aún cuando lo juegas con amigos, aún a mi no me ha aburrido en lo absoluto, sigo disfrutando cada partida, pero estoy seguro que en algún momento me cansaré de él como me ha pasado con otros battle royale.
A pesar de que no hay tanta aleatoriedad como digo, el juego te plantea ciertas mecánicas para expandir su tiempo de vida, como agregar medios de transporte que también pueden hacer daño, objetos que te dan cierta ventaja para algunas cosas en específico, esto puede sonar como una contradicción a lo que dije en el parrafo anterior, pero en un par de horas ya habrás experimentado el juego en su máximo punto, ya sabrás que se puede hacer y que no, pienso que si actualizaran el juego más constantemente y le agregaran ciertas cosas que creen más dinamismo, si sería un juego con un tiempo de vida más largo, es un juego con bastante potencial, pero creo que los desarrolladores deberían poner un poco más de atención a su comunidad, cambiar o agregar algunos conceptos sean temporales o no, solo para que se creen experiencias diferentes a través del tiempo, y así ofrezca diferentes maneras de experimentarlo.
Even though there is not as much randomness as I say, the game gives you certain mechanics to expand its life time, like adding means of transportation that can also do damage, objects that give you some advantage for some specific things, this may sound like a contradiction to what I said in the previous paragraph, but in a couple of hours you will have experienced the game at its maximum point, you will already know what you can do and what you can't do, I think that if they would update the game more constantly and add certain things that create more dynamism, if it would be a game with a longer life time, it is a game with a lot of potential, but I think the developers should pay a little more attention to their community, change or add some concepts whether temporary or not, just to create different experiences over time, and thus offer different ways to experience it.
