A parte de jugar videojuegos, me gusta leer manga y ver anime, he visto mucho contenido a lo largo de mi vida, pero hay obras que guardo dentro de mí con mucho cariño, obras que van más allá de lo que es un videojuego, anime o manga, hoy hablaremos de un manga que inspiró a otras grandes obras como Dark Souls, un manga que a mi parecer es de los mejores de la historia, un manga con una historia increíble llena de todo tipo de emociones, y de lo que son capaces algunas personas con tal de conseguir sus sueños, hoy hablaremos de BERSERK.
Besides playing video games, I like to read manga and watch anime, I have seen a lot of content throughout my life, but there are pieces that I keep inside me with great affection, pieces that go beyond what is a video game, anime or manga, today we will talk about a manga that inspired other great pieces like Dark Souls, a manga that in my opinion is one of the best in history, a manga with an incredible story full of all kinds of emotions, and what some people are capable of in order to achieve their dreams, today we will talk about BERSERK.
Berserk was created by Kentaro Miura (R.I.P) is a seinen set in medieval times, in which the main character named Guts, wanders the world with a sword (called Dragon Slayer) in search of revenge, condemned to fight against demonic beings after being cursed by "The Hand of God", beings that torment him even at bedtime, so he is constantly living with what would be hell for anyone, but Guts is a character who fears nothing, with a mechanical arm and great combat skills, he offers us super epic battles that make Berserk a masterpiece.
Berserk fue creado por Kentaro Miura (R.I.P) es un seinen ambientado en la época medieval, en el que el personaje principal llamado Guts, vaga por el mundo con un espadón (llamado Dragon Slayer) en busca de venganza, condenado a luchar contra seres demoniacos luego de ser maldecido por “La Mano de Dios”, seres que lo atormentan incluso a la hora de dormir, por lo que constantemente está viviendo con lo que sería un infierno para cualquiera, pero Guts es un personaje que no teme a nada, con un brazo mecánico y grandes habilidades de combate, nos ofrece batallas super épicas que hacen a Berserk una obra maestra.
Hay varios animes que abarcan diferentes partes del manga, pero si te tengo que recomendar algo para que veas lo que asombroso que es Berserk, te recomiendo ver las 3 películas, son fieles al manga y muy bien hechas, Berserk fue el anime que me llevó a leer manga, antes de Berserk, leer manga se me hacía algo muy aburrido y no lograba verle algo mínimamente interesante, hasta que lo leí y no pude parar, una historia llena de tragedias, batallas, personajes y muchísimos más elementos que desde que empiezas no terminas.
There are several anime that cover different parts of the manga, but if I have to recommend something for you to see how amazing Berserk is, I recommend watching the 3 movies, they are faithful to the manga and very well done, Berserk was the anime that led me to read manga, before Berserk, reading manga was something very boring and I could not see anything minimally interesting, until I read it and I could not stop, a story full of tragedies, battles, characters and many more elements that since you start you do not finish.
Dark Souls has many references to this great manga, we can find Guts' armor, Artorias looks a lot like Guts with the berserker armor, the blacksmith's apprentice named Rickert and many more references, the classic anime has a soundtrack that transmits indescribable emotions, it transmits peace and tranquility, or it can also transmit terror and feelings of danger, I have no doubt when I refer to that anime as my favorite.
Dark Souls tiene muchas referencias a este grandioso manga, podemos encontrar la armadura de Guts, Artorias se parece mucho a Guts con la armadura berserker, el aprendiz del herrero llamado Rickert y muchas referencias más, el anime clásico tiene una banda sonora que transmite emociones indescriptibles, transmite paz y tranquilidad, o también puede transmitir terror y sensaciones de peligro, no tengo ninguna duda cuando me refiero a ese anime como mi favorito.
Afortunadamente las 3 películas y el anime clásico, abarcan lo que es considerado lo mejor de Berserk, el Arco de la Edad Dorada, el arco donde Guts se une a la Banda del Halcón y donde Berserk hace notar su grandeza, cada personaje se siente vivo, tienen una historia que contar y sus razones para hacer lo que hacen, muy característicos y fácil de recordar, incluso los monstruos tienen diseños muy geniales y terroríficos, algo que me encanta de Berserk es su mundo, un mundo con lugares hermosos pero también lugares que parecen provenir de las peores pesadillas.
Fortunately the 3 movies and the classic anime, cover what is considered the best of Berserk, the Golden Age Arc, the arc where Guts joins the Band of the Falcon and where Berserk makes his greatness noticed, each character feels alive, they have a story to tell and their reasons to do what they do, very characteristic and easy to remember, even the monsters have very cool and terrifying designs, something I love about Berserk is its world, a world with beautiful places but also places that seem to come from the worst nightmares.
Conocí Berserk hace muchos años, y fui testigo de cómo el hiatus atacaba a la obra una y otra vez, me molestaba que constantemente entrara en hiatus, pero luego de la muerte de Kentaro Miura y ver todo el estrés y la presión que tenía encima, pude comprenderlo todo, incluso con todo eso, logró ofrecernos una de las mejores obras que ha visto la humanidad, un manga con dibujos y una estética increíble.

Cuando creo algún personaje en cualquier videojuego, siempre lo llamo “Guts” y le hago un diseño similar al Guts de Kentaro Miura, porque es uno de los mejores personajes que he visto, con un desarrollo y una evolución muy notable, se nota las etapas por las que ha pasado y el cómo le afecta, un personaje que sufrió bastante y vivió situaciones que traumarían al más valiente, nació de una mujer muerta y fue criado en la guerra.
