[사람목적어 + that절 ]을 갖는 4형식 동사
tell, inform, notify, assure, convince, advise, remind

The HR department (reminded / said) Jim that he had no more sick days left.
인사부는 짐에게 그가 더 이상 병가를 쓸 수 없음을 통지했다.
→ 괄호 뒤에 「Jim + that절」이 왔으므로 4형식 동사(remind)를 써야 한다.
said는 3형식 동사.

Jane reminded me of my meeting with Nortel this afternoon.
제인은 나에게 오늘 오후에 있을 노텔과의 만남을 상기시켜주었다.
→ inform, notify, assure, remind가 「사람목적어 + of」 구조를 취할 경우 3형식 동사이다.

You (are reminded / reminded) to give a copy of your passport to Erica Jones by tomorrow morning at the very latest.

당신은 늦어도 내일 아침까지는 에리카 존스에게 여권 사본을 제출해야 합니다.
→ 동사 inform, notify, assure, remind 뒤에 to부정사가 온다면 목적어가 주어 자리로 옮겨 간 경우이므로 동사는 꼭 수동태를 써야 함
