Entry for Artstorm Contest #92 - Vacations
Once I had a teacher who taught me this about her life: she worked daily apart from for her daily life, to give herself a pleasure a year after going on vacation and getting to know some place in the world. But obviously she had to work hard, to get the money.
Money is so valuable not for what it is in itself. What are we going to do with a paper or a metal circle? By itself, not much. Money is so valuable for what we do with it. How to go on vacation with the family, buy all those goods and objects we crave, for the power to sleep happily knowing that we have to pay for a medical emergency, for that kind of thing.
I guess there are a lot of people in the world who can't afford a vacation, right now I include myself, and before that the question, money or vacations? As it makes no sense, there is no money for vacations. But I know that there are also people who don't like to quit their job because they feel that they don't earn money on vacation if they don't spend more, and that's why they prefer not to take vacations. And honestly, are they crazy? Money is to enjoy so do it. Live your life, and do not enslave yourself at work for a few coins. At the end of your life you will have wasted both your time and your money.
