Why is Black Panther's cast almost all black?Wakanda is in Africa.
Some don't seem to understand that a movie about a fictional African Kingdom which is obviously situated in Africa would be at a location of the world that is majority black. For example if a story about a fictional European kingdom were created it would be unusual if the cast was mostly black or Chinese. Yes they might have 1 or 2 black actors(maybe traders etc.) but the majority would be white as a European kingdom would have a majority of people that have that cultural background. What goes on in the mind of someone who goes to a marvel movie and has to get all political about a freaking movie.
Ofcourse for some it is a provocation to have a black face on a movie screen or anywhere. And that is probably why Black Panther triggers them.
I saw this movie twice already and most people in the theater the 1st time were black. The second time it was the opposite and white people were laughing at black jokes about white people lol. I was a little shocked but these people understood it's a movie and it's a movie from the black viewpoint of the world as it exists in this fictional world.
This movie is unapologetically African just as a movie highlighting Captain America is unapologetically American.
What is the problem?
