Kanye West is a highly intelligent person. He is an artist, an entrepreneur, some would say a cultural icon. I would also add a tortured person. What many don't understand is that all that genius, fame and money has a price and that price is surely psychological and social. What kind of life is that where you can't leave your house without some stranger pointing a camera in your face or people judging you because on a free day you decided to go outside with normal relax clothes and not styled up like you were going to the grammys. Surely for women it's much worse because of make up etc. But he is in fashion so he will definitely get judged for his appearance and he knows it.
His recent slavery remarks since specified and or corrected by him made me realize that he often has ideas in his head that make a lot of sense to him but he can't quite explain them spontaniously to strangers without misunderstandings.
This is the problem of an artist diving into politics. I am not saying he shouldn't. He has every right to. And he is probably looking for new ways to get the public's attention and maybe even new things to branch out into. President West?
