For the past couple years, I've been hearing from dozens of new social media platforms saying that they are going to be the "next" Steemit killer. š” š²
..... so far nothing has ever happened and most of these so called "Blockchain Social Media" projects have yet to gain any traction at all or let alone, launch!
Now, I'm hearing it once again from the EOS Community. Yes, from the creator of Steem Dan Larimer. šāāļø
There's currently lots of speculation and hype about what their "June 1st news" is going to be. Most are saying that it might be the long waited Steemit 2.0 Social Media Platform.
No one really knows for sure. š¤·āāļø
In my opinion, there is no such thing as a Steemit Killer.
I believe that many people will use both platforms. It just makes no sense to me why people would leave "steemit" completely.
It's like me saying I'm quitting twitter to do instagram or even quitting facebook to do snapchat.
They are totally completely different things! Many people will just use steem and others will just use EOS.
At the end of they day, most people will use both platforms (and several others at the same time) to publish content on a blockchain. š„
There are enough people in the world (7 Billion) for thousands of "Social Media Blockchain Platforms" to survive and prosper. š
So there you have it. There is no such thing as a Steemit Killer and the only thing that can kill Steemit is Steem itself.
I'm looking forward what the future brings for BOTH Steem and EOS.
