Essential window cleaning equipment
A good quality squeegee is essential to get your windows sparklingly clean. Although a 12- 15-inch squeegee is a perfect size for most windows, you may require getting a smaller one if you have divided windows. Secondly, you may require a T-bar style window scrubber which features removable sleeves that can be cleaned when they become soiled. In addition, having a large bucket, metal scrubber, lint -- free cloth, steel wool, ladders and detergent may also be required for cleaning windows.
How to clean windows properly?
#1: Begin cleaning the inside before moving to the outside of the window.
#2: Add a squirt of dish washing liquid to half a bucket of water and dip the scrubber in the bucket.
#3: Scrub the entire surface of the windows moving the scrubber from the top to bottom direction.
#4: Next use the squeegee starting from the upper corner and the move it evenly across from side to side. Wipe the squeegee's blade with a clean cloth after each stroke.
#5: For the final cleanup, remove excess water from the edges of the glass with a damp (not wet) chamois.
Tips for Clean Windows
• Always choose to clean your window on a cloudy, dry day. Cleaning them on a bright sunshine day can cause the cleaning solution to dry before you can polish the glass.
• Too clean stubborn minerals stains, use non- abrasive on a clean wet cloth or solvents like acetone or minerals spirit on a clean dry lint free microfiber cloth.
• Avoid using scrapers or razor blades when cleaning decorative glass windows.
