There is nothing new in the world of sport, just more and more cancelled events because of the coronavirus pandemic and I would say that human lives are in front of everything, including our beloved sport, so I agree with the organizers that too much of people in the audience can lead to the bigger danger of what can be in the future.
What is worst, some teams already tested in Baumholder area, which i notoriously famous region of military fields where Germans test their tanks.
Any off on Baumholder special stages means written off chassis because there are stones around road which are a few meters in the ground to prevent tanks when young soldiers learn how to operate the tank.
Then you can imagine what it can do to a rally car when you hit it. Lots of written off chassis was there.
Ok, now this rally is out of the calendar for this season and we can only hope that next season edition will be in better sunshine.
