In rallying it can sometimes happen that your bonnet open up during the special stage and then you have two options:
1.stop and your co-driver goes out of the car to close it, but then you lose apprx 20s,
2.drive until the end of special stage with limited visibility
It is up to tge driver to choose which option to take.
We have here Jan Kopecky with Škoda Fabia R5 at WRC Rally Portugal 2019 who continues flat out with the bonnet open.
