Heartstopper is a British romantic series produced by Netflix. Its first season premiered in April 2022 and they are filming the second season.
Heartstopper protagonists are Nick, a popular boy who is part of the rugby team played by Kit Connor, and Charlie, a gay boy who was outed without his consent played by Joe Locke.
The series begins in the new school year, when Charlie has to sit with Nick in his first class and Nick invites him to join the rugby team. Thanks to this Charlie begins to have feelings for Nick, but he is not sure if Nick can feel the same way for him.
This prompts Charlie to ask his group of friends to see what they think of Nick, and he finds divided opinions, especially because Tao doesn’t want his friend to suffer once again for someone who doesn’t love him back.
During the series we can also watch how Nick explores his sexuality and manages to accept himself despite all the fears he may have. And we can also watch the doubts and uncertainties that LGBT+ youth have while growing up.

La serie inicia en el nuevo año escolar, cuando a Charlie le toca sentarse con Nick en su primera clase y éste lo invita a unirse al equipo de rugby. Gracias a esto Charlie empieza a tener sentimientos por Nick, pero él no está seguro de si Nick pueda sentir lo mismo por él.
Esto hace que Charlie les pregunte a su grupo de amigos a ver que piensan de Nick, y encuentra opiniones dividas, sobre todo porque Tao no quiere que su amigo sufra una vez más por alguien que no le corresponde.
Durante la serie también podemos ver como Nick explora su sexualidad y logra aceptarse a sí mismo a pesar de todos los miedos que pueda tener. Y también se observa las dudas e incertidumbres que la juventud LGBT+ tiene al crecer.
