Nothing seems to be as much on everyone's minds as how to create a better world. The choice of the word "right" instead of "better" is an interesting one. It suggests that there there is an appropriate world - something that fits and will not be easily undone. A better world may be only an improvement - but would that be sufficient? Is a better world sufficient?
It could also mean a morally correct world - and that would be in keeping with the rest of the essay. But moral correctness is fluid and only useful if it is appropriate for the times.
Not knowing what to do, we ape our ancestors; the churches stagger backward to the mummeries of the Dark Ages.
Cause and effect are the bywords.
There is no chance, and no blanks.
