Look for planets, meteor showers and more in the night sky, using this very helpful website: https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/night/
I might recommend these binoculars (not only good for stargazing, but also handy in a zombie apocalypse) : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQVXHUM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And this mount: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6Y5I5M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Happy star-gazing!
