A few days ago I posted one of my favorite tracks I have written in the past few years about a group of settlers in the 1850's that are going to mine for gold, get sick on the way, spend all their money on snake oil out of desperation, and die.

This song post gained more rewards than ANY of my previous posts, so since there was such positive feedback towards it (including an upvote from Dsound! THANK YOU!), I decided to make a video to share with you all too show my gratitude and further entertain those of you whom may enjoy the song.
I made the video by taking old stock footage and splicing it together. I tried to find footage that I felt embodied the symbolism and imagery portrayed in the song and captured the cold, lost dreams that the song hopes to encapsulates. I created a screen via after effects that put everything through the lens of the past.
I'm still a little new to after effects and video editing as a whole, so any suggestions or critiques that might help me improve my skills are greatly appreciated and will be rewarded best I can. If you enjoy this video, please let me know and follow me to see more of my content!
Hope you enjoyed this song and video! If you liked it, make sure to check out my other work at the links below:
