This function is used in text-based columns or text-based output and will generally be applied in situations where we want to manipulate strings. One example where I've used this in development is "commented" data where we must dynamically extract details from strings. Be extremely careful about where and how to use STUFF, as you may see a huge hit in performance. In general, this can happen with string manipulation.
