The purpose of this proposal is to allow the SPS DAO to vote on whether or not it would like to sunset the Crypto Gaming Recovery Fund proposal early. While the project was able to lead to a couple of articles to help promote it and Splinterlands, it didn't manage to appeal to its target audience. There were only a couple dozen of signups over the course of the first year and essentially all of them were existing players. As discussed when creating the program, if the DAO did not see a a worthwhile return on the investment that we would vote on whether or not to continue funding the program.
Proposal:
If this proposal passes, the SPS DAO will stop future funding for the Crypto Gaming Recovery Fund as of the end of year one. There will be no 7 year dispersal period and only the first 1,000,000 SPS and 2,500 Rebellion packs will be distributed to eligible participants.
