Returning home from Rockport Texas today and I was amazed at the miles of trash and debris still from the effects of hurricane Harvey stacked up in the middle of the highway. FEMA Contracted trucks are still going to and fro with more and more debris and they are sifting and sorting through it recycling what they can and trucking the rest to the landfill.
The whole pile was close to 2 miles long and my boss and I commented it will probably take them a couple to 3 or 4 more years to clean up the mess. We also noted that a guy could spend the next 10-15 yrs remodeling and repairing the amount of damage to the seaside town. We are currently under contract to extract and rebuild a large section of fencing on a home in the Key Allegro neighborhood that back up to the waters edge of Laguna Made. It is simply unimaginable the number of damaged structures and uprooted blown over Oak trees.
If a guy can't find work in Rockport, Aransas Pass, or Port Aransas Texas then he is simply lazy and has no desire whatsoever to earn a dollar for the fruits of his labor. It strikes me as odd though that the alphabet network news agencies have left the story of Hurricane Harvey difficulties, hardships, and tragegies for the political arena if pushing an agenda.
The world keeps spinning I suppose. I found it also noteworthy to mention the return of the winter Texans is alive and kicking as all of the recreational vehicle parks were full of RV's Camper trailers, and Motorhomes. Their financial impact on the communities having lost so much is certainly gratefully appreciated
Thanks for visiting.
