The South Side is basically a "no go" area for everyone. Even when there are games at the White Sox stadium there are ushers all the way from the train stations to the entrance of the stadium that will strongly encourage people to not deviate from the path and enter the south side neighborhoods there.

There isn't much reason to spend any time in the south side unless you are looking for trouble, I can't even imagine what it is like to live there.
