This post will be cross posted in Spoonies Unite shortly

OMF has a donation incentive this month. They have a backer that will triple donations made in November. I have decided to combine November/December's donations together. The $40 will equal $120.

This means I will have to pull funds from my main account to do the donation this month. I think it's worth it. This also means there will not be a donation made in December itself.

I will resume monthly donations again in January. 馃

On a personal note , we recently had another plumbing emergency. Turns out the toilet issue we had is not an issue with the toilet but an issue with the pipes. We are getting it fixed but this weekend was rough.

I also had a very scary autonomic dysfunction event during this time. I am not sure what to call it it wasn't syncope it was something else. I wish I had a doctor I could talk to about these things This was pretty horrifying.
I stepped outside for less than a minute (the toilet backing up was very stinky I had to go outside for fresh air). It was 45 degrees out -chilly but not freezing.I was shaking uncontrollably, teeth chattering, eyelid twitching, and had weird pins and needles sensations on my head in one spot. I think this has to do with my body not being able to maintain temperature.I didn't feel cold however which is weird as I am very temperature sensitive.1 degree temperature fluctuating either way and I am too cold or too hot. Dysautonomia is fun.

My husband heated up the car and I sat out there for probably 30 minutes or so. I was shaking -like full body shaking until the car warmed up, then I was ok. I also had an extra long sweater in the car i used as a blanket.

I can't ever indicate that I experience any normal emotional distress or doctors just blame my "anxiety " (anxiety is a legit medical condition and should be treated with respect. I just don't suffer from it). I can't say to my doctor "I had this scary experience...."

I have had multiple infections, yes infections that were dismissed as "anxiety" /in my head until x rays proved me right. Every time. Pneumonia=hysteria. Post op dental infections=hysteria. If it weren't for second opinions I'd be dead .

I wonder why all the doctors I have ever seen are obsessed with blaming everything on my non existent anxiety. I know many people including close friends and loved ones who suffer from psychiatric illnesses /mental health issues like depression, anxiety , biploar and more . They can talk openly with their doctors about these issues and not be judged. Nor are any physical symptoms associated with/blamed on their mental illnesses.

In fact they are reassured that these issues are biological in nature and not their fault. I 100% agree with this. That said we as a society have a long way to go to de-stigmatize mental health issues. Patients suffering from these conditions deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.鉂わ笍

So why is it different for folks with ME, POTS, fibro and other physiological /auto immune/neuroimmune conditions? sigh
