Splinterlanes is a three-lane way to play Splinterlands: two players battle across a Friendly Lane, the Command Lane and a Hostile Lane with Decks built from their own Splinterlands cards, and every Talisman you own puts a Rules Mod — sometimes more — over your Friendly Lane.
Today something new opens under Talisman ▾ Altar.
Offer three, one comes back
Place three to five Talismans on the Altar. They are destroyed — Engraved ones too — and the Altar answers with one Talisman.
What you offer shapes what comes back. That is all we will say about it: the Altar is there to be explored, and what it gives for what is yours to find out. Some Talismans exist nowhere else — a Talisman that could only have come from the Altar wears an Altar-forged mark wherever it appears. And the first time the Altar answers you in a way it never has before, it tells you so.
Engraved Talismans may also return 🎟 Tickets — sometimes a few, now and then a great many. Tickets from the Altar are ordinary Ticket credit, and they can take you past the usual 100-Ticket top-up cap.
Before you offer
- It can't be undone. An offered Talisman is gone for good, Engraved or not, and nobody can restore it. If a Talisman is equipped to a Deck, the Deck simply goes back to a free loaner.
- Keychain asks you to approve each offering with Active authority, the same way it does for giving a Talisman away or listing one on the Market.
- A Talisman sold on the Market waits 14 days after that sale before it can go on the Altar. The Altar shows the date on each card that is waiting.
- Your Journal keeps every offering — what went in, what came back, any Tickets, and the times the Altar answered you in a new way. Only you can see it, under the Journal tab on the Altar.
- The Talisman that comes back is un-Engraved, like every new Talisman. Engrave it for 1 🎟 if you want its record on the Hive blockchain.
The Terms and the Privacy Policy each have a new paragraph for the Altar (effective October 25, 2026): offerings are permanent, the Journal is private to you, and destroying an Engraved Talisman writes a record of it on-chain beside its Engraving.
Also new since the last post
- VIP is here. 100 🎟 buy 30 days of Auto-battle that keeps playing Ranked with your browser closed: about a minute after you close Splinterlanes, the server plays for you with your active Deck — your Tickets, your Rating, your prizes, and your Daily Challenge counts. Open the site again and it hands the seat back; a match in progress keeps playing until you press Watch and take over. Set a Ticket floor or a daily match limit, and read a short report of what it played while you were away. VIPs also get 25 saved Deck slots instead of 10. Buying or renewing is approved in Keychain with Active authority, and it never renews by itself.
- Closing your browser mid-match no longer leaves a VIP's Ranked battle to random play — VIP Auto-battle takes the seat and plays it out.
- Five Daily Challenges are easier to reach. Matches got shorter after the Second Wind change, so their targets came down: Neutral Ground now needs 8 Neutral Monsters (was 10), Hold the Command and Into Hostile Ground 9 Monsters in that Lane (was 10), Rout 3 Second Winds (was 10), and Full Ranks 3 of your Monsters standing in every Lane (was 6). Badges you already earned stay on your profile. The Daily Challenges playbook goes through all eight.
