🪵 Druid’s Golem Marches on Thanaloria
Druid’s Golem tears through the Broken Lands.
Behind it march the remnants of Mahkah Hemlig’s mercenaries and a horde of trolls.
The mercenaries scavenge the loot left behind.
The trolls feast on the flesh of the fallen.
Now they’re marching on Thanaloria.
Beginning September 29, the Fifth Escalation Conflict introduces Druid’s Golem, giving Battle Mages a new opportunity to strengthen their collections and confront the force advancing toward the elves.
Points begin accumulating on September 29 after the maintenance window.
Bring your Mage Wagons. Bring them down before they reach Thanaloria.
Fifth Escalation Conflict Card
Druid’s Golem
When an attack threatened Mahkah Hemlig’s excavation, she poured her magic into a towering treadwheel crane.
Timber twisted into limbs. Its wheel became a spinning heart. Its boom arm hurled stone constructs across the battlefield.
What once lifted blocks from a quarry now stands sixty feet tall, built to carry the battle straight into enemy lines.

🏅 Community Spotlight
Druid’s Golem carries the name of Druidsblood, a familiar face and a fantastic supporter of our Splinterlands streamers and community.
Thank you, Druidsblood, for participating and for always showing up for our creators and fellow players. Praetoria is a better place with you in it!
His feelings about beavers are well known. For anyone wondering whether that made it into the character art, take a closer look inside the wheel. 🦫👀
Apparently, even a longstanding rivalry can become a fashion statement.
Lore
The quarry had been a temple once. Mahkah Hemlig could see the foundations beneath the rubble. Ancient stonework with precise angles and leyline channels carved into bedrock. Exactly what the Conclave Arcana's surveyors had promised.
Her boring hobgoblins worked the lower depths while earth elementals hauled debris to the surface. The treadwheel crane dominated the center of the excavation, its massive wooden wheel creaking as workers walked its interior drum, hoisting stone blocks from the pit. Mahkah paid it no attention. Her focus was on the dig.
The attack came without warning from the treeline. Wolves broke from the shadows. Behind them charged elk with antlers like siege weapons. Bears, boars, wildcats. And among them, a wild elf with eyes full of sorrow. Elowen Sylphie. With her came Voss and the other owlkin, Captain Maud Stonefoot and her Lyverians, and the fellowship of the Silverleaf.
Mahkah's goons fell back. Earth elementals crumbled under concentrated fire. Mercenaries fled.
An arrow clipped Mahkah’s shoulder. She stumbled back, blood running down her arm, and caught herself on the treadwheel crane. Forty feet of timber and rope. A wheel large enough to hold six men walking abreast. Counterweights, pulleys, a boom arm that could lift a thousand pounds of stone.
Mahkah pressed both palms against the frame and cast her magic into it.
Wood groaned and rope tightened. The wheel began to turn, though no one walked within. The boom arm swung wide, scattering attackers. The crane's base cracked and reformed, timber twisting into legs, into arms, into something that was no longer a tool. It stood sixty feet above the quarry, wheel-heart spinning.
Its boom arm swept across the battlefield and caught Nessa mid-glide, hurling her into the treeline.
Mahkah reached out to the other constructs. She poured her will into the crane and felt it flow outward. The boom arm dipped, hooked an earth elemental, and launched it through the air. The elemental soared over the battlefield and crashed into the Lyverian line. Another golem flew, then another. The crane scooped them up and hurled them where they were needed. Behind enemy lines, into flanking positions, directly onto clusters of archers.
Golems don't fly. But the crane threw them anyway.
Animals scattered as stone constructs dropped from the sky. The fellowship retreated into the woods. Elowen lingered with her wolves circling her. She met Mahkah's eyes across the battlefield with quiet disappointment, then turned and disappeared into the trees.
Mahkah leaned against the crane's leg, breathing hard. Blood dripped from her shoulder. The crane stood motionless above her, wheel spinning slowly.
The temple foundations still waited below. She had digging to do.

Wagon Crafting and Repairs
Battle Mages looking to expand their war effort have two ways to acquire additional wagons.
Craft Wagon Kits in the Artisan Quarter
Two Wagon Kits are required to construct one Mage Wagon.
Each Wagon Kit requires:
| Resource | Amount |
|---|---|
| Wood | 17,500 |
| Stone | 7,000 |
| Iron | 1,750 |
| Aura | 1,250 |
Wagon Kits are tradeable and may be bought or sold through the non-card market.
Purchase with DEC or Credits
Wagon Kits may also be acquired using DEC or Credits. The system uses DEC behind the scenes to purchase the required kits from the market.
⚠️ Wagon Damage and Repairs
Every airdropped Conflict card damages one Mage Wagon.
This applies to your full wagon inventory, not only the wagons actively participating in the current Conflict.
One Wagon Kit is required to repair each damaged wagon.
Example
A player owns 100 Mage Wagons and loads 30 of them for the Conflict.
If that player receives 40 Druid’s Golem cards from the airdrop, 40 of their 100 total wagons will become damaged and require repairs before they can be used again.
🎁 Rewards System
Every 100,000 points earns you 1 entry toward the Conflict airdrop.
Each entry has a 0.25% chance to receive the Conflict card.
A guaranteed drop is awarded after 400 entries.
⚠️ Gold Foils, Black Foils, Gold Foil Arcanes, and Black Foil Arcanes are not obtainable through the initial Conflict claims.
Premium foil versions are distributed through the Leaderboard and Foil Draw systems.

Players may:

- Split Chances across multiple Foil Fortune Draws.
After the Conflict ends, players will have a two-day allocation period to decide how their Chances will be distributed among the available Foil Fortune Draws.
Once the allocation period ends, the Foil Fortune Draws will be conducted and rewards distributed.
Potion Bonus Entries 🍀
Potions may be used to increase the number of Foil Fortune Draw entries, up to double the number of Chances allocated to a specific draw.
Example
A player allocates 100 Chances to the Black Foil Fortune Draw.
That player may use up to 100 Midnight Potions, increasing their total to 200 Black Foil draw entries.

Important Notes
- Each player receives one final submission for their Foil Fortune Draw allocation.
- Allocations cannot be changed after they are confirmed.
- Players who do not submit an allocation will have all Chances automatically entered into the Gold Foil Fortune Draw.
- Automatic Gold Foil entries will not use potions.
- The Foil Fortune Draws are the only way to obtain Black Foil, Gold Foil Arcane, and Black Foil Arcane versions through this distribution.
- Regular Foil and Gold Foil versions may be found in packs after the Conflict concludes.
Preparation for the Next Conflict
During this period, Battle Mages can:
- Repair damaged Mage Wagons.
- Build additional Mage Wagons.
- Place newly earned Conflict cards into wagons.
- Adjust their wagon strategy for the upcoming Conflict.
Wagon preparation operates independently from the Foil Fortune Draw process. Players may prepare wagons for the next Conflict while Foil Fortune Draw allocations are taking place.
🪵 Druid’s Golem Is Coming
It began as a crane above a buried temple.
Mahkah’s magic gave it limbs, a spinning wheel-heart, and the strength to throw golems across a battlefield.
Now it tears through the Broken Lands.
Mercenaries follow the wreckage. Trolls feast on the fallen.
And Thanaloria stands in its path.
