How's your end of season rewards? Good? Bad? Meh?

While you're not sure yet on what is your next strategy for the next season, check out the latest weekly challenge of Splinterlands - SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! WOOD NYMPH .

Here is my first battle of the season using Wood Nymph!

Line Up

Summoner: Scarred Llama Mage

My main goal on the first day of the season is to climb up the ladder to earn more rewards. And I think most of you now are familiar on what Scarred Llama Mage can do. But if not, Scarred Llama Mage grants +2 HP to allied monsters and also grants Last Stand ability. It will also Cleanse all negative effects on the Monster in the first position on the friendly team. The goal here is for the Flesh Golem or Kron the Undying to survive last to activate the last stand.

Pos 1: Flesh Golem
My tank here is the Lvl 3 Flesh Golem with its Heal ability. With Llama's +2 HP, my enemy will take longer to take down this card. Heal restores 1/3 of the max health (rounded down) of the monster. With its initial health of 10, it will heal 3 HP per round. But with Llama's +2 HP, it will heal 4 HP per round. However, the enemy's summoner subtracts -1 HP to all my monster's HP. So at the start of the battle, my Flesh Golem only has 11 HP and will heal 3 HP per round.

Pos 2: Failed Summoner
The purpose of this one is to protect my Wood Nymph if Flesh Golem die early in the battle. Its stats are decent for a 2-mana cost monster and it also has the Reflect ability that returns a portion of Magic damage back to the attacker.

Pos 3:Furious Chicken
Same with Failed Summoner, the main purpose of this monster is to prevent direct damage to Wood Nymph just in case the enemy has a monster with Snipe ability.

Pos 4: Wood Nymph
The star of this challenge is at position 4, which is at the middle. I chose this position for Wood Nymph to prevent any damage from monsters with Snipe or Sneak ability. While she is hiding at the middle, she is healing the Tank in Pos 1. So Flesh Golem already has its Heal ability and heals 3 HP per round plus Wood Nymph's 3 HP heal per round, Flesh Golem will heal 6 HP per round! Not to mention that Wood Nymph has a magic attack, too. 馃

Pos 5: Creeping Ooze
This is a very reliable card because of its cheap mana cost and ability which is to reduce the Speed of enemy monsters. In this line up, Flesh Golem and Wood Nymph has the chance to heal first before receiving damage from the enemy.

Pos 6: Kron The Undying
To add up the damage dealer of this line up. I used Kron The Undying in Pos 6. So just in case all my monsters died early, it will have the Last Stand from Scarred Llama Mage with its Heal ability.

Did My Strategy Work?

I think my strategy went well. I mean look at my Flesh Golem still fighting at 1 HP in Round 3. 馃槃 馃殤
Flesh Golem's Heal and Wood Nymph's Tank Heal really did their job well in this battle.

And Flesh Golem recovered from 1 Hp to full HP by Round 6. Thank you Wood Nymph! 鉂わ笍馃槏

As for Wood Nymph, she didn't receive any damage because the enemy's Silent Sha-vi and Undead Badger is attacking Kron The Undying, which also has Heal ability and the enemy has no monster with Snipe. So putting her in the middle is a good choice.

Next time, I will try the line up with Lvl 3 Flesh Golem, Lvl 1 Goblin Psychic and Lvl 1 Wood Nymph, because who do not want a Mega Heal??
