Shadow Snitch
Let's take a run down first of this card's lore and stats.
Shadow Snitch
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: COMMON
Element: DEATH
Attack: MELEE
Abilities: Reach
Lore
Shadow Snitches are created by the conjurers of the Chaos Legion. Weaving Death magic, they breathe life into beings made completely of darkness. The purpose of the Shadow Snitches is to be deployed into lands prior to the Chaos Legion's invasion. Moving from shadow to shadow, they are listeners and watchers, feeding information back to the Chaos Legion.
But once the invasion is complete, the Shadow Snitches still serve a purpose. They can locate and follow high-value targets, reporting back on movements to Chaos Legion leadership. If needed, Shadow Snitches can also capture prisoners and bring them back for interrogation.
Devon ran down the narrow alleyway, panting and his heart thundering in his chest. Panic ran like electricity through his body, spurring him on as he splashed through mucky puddles and jumped over piles of trash.
It was just behind him. He knew. The creature. The creature of shadow. It wanted him because of what he knew. Valuable information for this person that Devon knew of only in whispers. The Voice.
He stumbled around a corner and came face-to-face with a dead end.
“No!” he gasped.
Devon spun around, eyes as round as two full moons. Had he lost his pursuer?
Suddenly two shadowy arms shot out from the dark corner behind him. One spindly hand grasped his torso, the other closed around his face to cut off his scream.
Devon was dragged back into the darkness.
It was time for an interrogation.

Line Up
In my previous battle challenge, I used Crypt Mancer but now I will use Thaddius Brood. Watch my previous battle challenge here.
Ability: All enemy Melee Attack monsters have -1 Magic Attack. All enemy monsters have -1 Health I am currently playing in Bronze league and the max attack that the Shadow Snitch can get is only 1. To make up for this, I used Thaddius Brood to reduce enemy monster's health so that Shadow Snitch can contribute more on damage output. It will also minimize the chance that the Shadow Snitch's attack will miss. |
|---|
Ability: Thorns - When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker. Since Shadow Snitch is not a tank and has Reach ability, the perfect position for it is Pos 2. So, I need a tank and I chose Cursed Windeku. Its Thorns will add additional damage to the enemy why my other monsters inflicts damae to the enemy. |
|---|
Ability: Reach - Melee attack Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team As discussed above, the perfect position for Shadow Snitch is Pos 2 because of its Reach ability. However, it has only 1 Speed so I just prayed that it will not miss. |
|---|
Ability: Sneak - Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster While Cursed Windeku and Shadow Snitch are dealing damage to the front, Silent Sha-Vi will deal damage to back line enemy monsters. This will balance the attackers from my team. |
|---|
Ability: None. The main purpose of Dark Astronomer is to add more damage to the enemy team. It has a nice Range attack for its low mana cost. |
|---|
Ability: None. Because of the limited mana cap in this battle, I used Xenith Archer to add more damage to the enemy team with its 1 Range Attack at 2 mana cost only. |
|---|
Let's Battle!
Let's discuss the battle to see areas that I should improve or what worked well. The mana cap is 25 and the Ruleset is Noxious Fumes wherein all Monsters start the battle Poisoned. This is also the reason why I used Thaddius Brood with its -1 HP debuff to the enemy.
Round 1
The enemy used the summoner Obsidian. Luckily, I used Thaddius Brood to negate the +1 Magic Attack to the enemy. Since I did not used any magic attack monster, I was able annihilate Failed Summoner without taking damage from its Magic Reflect. Cursed Windeku withstand the damage from Regal Peryton and Goblin Psychic and no monster was annihilated from my side.
Round 2
The poison killed Goblin Psychic from the enemy and Xenith Archer from my side. Cursed Windeku's Thorns together with Shadow Snitch's attack add additional damage to Unicorn Mustang. Unicorn Mustang was able to defeat Cursed Windeku, leaving Shadow Snitch to Pos 1.
Round 3
This is one of the good things about Shadow Snitch. At 4 mana cost, it has 5 HP at level 1 that can withstand poison in few more rounds. The poison killed Unicorn Mustang at the start of the battle and this makes me the victor of this battle.
Shadow Snitch Review
Shadow Snitch has good Health for a 4-mana cost card. But I think it lacks in Speed and Attack in Bronze league. So, you may want to use Shadow Snitch togethere with monsters that buffs your speed or debuffs the enemy's speed. You may also want to try using Daria Dragonscale to increase Shadow Snitch's melee attack.
Under normally circumstances, I think I will prefer to use Spineback Wolf in Pos 2 because of its Speed and Armor and Reach ability. However, Spineback Wolf is a 5-mana cost card and will not be available in Little League and hard to play in low mana cost battles. So, I might still consider adding Shadow Snitch in my line up in Bronze League. But in Silver League Spineback Wolf will already have its second ability which is Thorn and Shadow Snitch will still have 1 ability. Shadow Snitch will only receive its second ability in Gold league. So you may want to consider these in using Shadow Snitch.
