Exactly. I've found that any imperfect but honest system (even honest about the competitive human nature) is better than any absurd utopia. And socialism is just that, an absurd utopia based on dreams.
That makes me remember a phrase I read in a book about the traditional anarchism; it was like: The core fail of anarchists was their irrational trust in people's rationality. I think it's true.
Dante said that "the paths of hell are paved with good intentions." That applies for every honest socialist (those people who really, sincerely, believe in such ideals), because they are full of this dream of a perfect society, and they base their lives on that fantasy.
But reality doesn't care about our fantasies. If we make plans on lies and half-truths, reality will come later to destroy them and show us the real nature of the world.
Capitalism understands the real nature of the world. Now I think that it allows many improvements inside its own logic. We don't need to tackle down Capitalism, we need to improve it, to play with its forms like clay shaping better outcomes. I will keep teaching that in my country. We need to grow.
