Doing this week's report a day early because we've got a green week and I want to get this out before the market changes and we have another losing week. haha.
Pretty much everything is up this week between 5 and 10% with AVAX being our best performer in the basket. With the expectation of LINK, the bottom tier of tokens are performing very poorly against top tier cryptos. Maybe if we are to do this XV again during the next cycle, we only have 10-12 tokens in our basket. The risk to reward of smaller cap tokens has not paid off for us.
HIVE has dropped a tiny bit over the past week and out basket has increased so the book value of the XV token has increased this week up to 3.61 HIVE. There are tons for sale from 2.50 HIVE, maybe from someone who needs access to some funds. Anyways, there's a 30% book profit for anyone that buys them and holds for 9 weeks until we wrap.
Sitting a HIVE profit of 46,877 which is cool. If we can hold on to this are do better, we'll be buying back around 60k HIVE from an exchange to wrap the project up, almost 4 times as much as we cashed out nearly 2 years ago.
The dollar value also increased but we are still far away from highs.
Another week is gone and only 9 weeks remain, finally down to single numbers.
It was suggested a few weeks back that because the bull year is underperforming so far and we might see a big run toward the end of the year, it might be an idea to give an option to delay wrapping up for 6 months. I liked the idea becasue XV token holders would have the option to exit in 9 weeks as planned are hold on for another 6 months and then exit.
After more thought, I think it would be best to wrap up completely in 9 weeks as planned. The plan was
1/ Swap HIVE into XV tokens
You bought 100 XV tokens for 100 HIVE worth $39 at the time
2/ Hold XV token for 2 years and swap back into HIVE
Today, your 100 XV tokens are worth 361 HIVE
3/ Hold your HIVE for 6 months and sell
You hold your 361 and sell them for $1 and collect $361 to make a 825% profit in 2 years. You sell for higher is much better and if you power it up, thats good as well.
If we extend the project by about six months to wrap up toward the end of the year, we would run the risk of losing all our HIVE profits. Because HIVE is a small cap token it can moonshot toward the end of the bullrun. Last cycle HIVE went from $0.70 to $3.40 in around 3 weeks, nothing in our basket is going to do that because they are all top-tier tokens with large caps.
Anyways, I think we stick to the plan because I think HIVE should outperform our basket toward the end of the year.
9 weeks left enless a madness happens over the next few weeks.
