Hello SPIer's. There's something that SPinvest has talked about for the longest time but never got round to it. Now that we dont have much going on, im not working on any new project and have no plans for a new one, i would like to get one thing ticked off the list.
Basic website for SPinvest
Nothing fancy, it'll be a crypto news website with SPinvest information on the homepage. Ideally, it would be HIVE news but when was the last time you seen an article about HIVE that was not on HIVE.blog? Maybe the time Justin Sun fucked over STEEM and someone forked HIVE for us (blocktrades at a guess). Even google searching HIVE only brings back 1 result on the first page with the rest coming back HIVE technologies. It's not good when you search "HIVE blockchain" and 1 result for HIVE come back. Google search "SPinvest" and 3 of the top 5 results or us. 60-90 dev's and no one has figured out SEO yet, lol. LeoFinance is killing it on google and will get to you HIVE.blog more effectively. It's over my head, maybe my small brain is not wired right. People on HIVE spoke of 90 dev's when it launched and Khal is 1 dude with a small team. Im sure the amount of time he has put into google ranking is minimal as well. I never understand why whoever forked STEEM called it HIVE. 4 random letters put together would have been better. Anyways, the point is this is nobody writing about HIVE so it's hard to find feeds that will auto-upload content.
Damn, im a salty bitch today.
What im thinking is i would like to build up a proper project during the next bear market and capitalize on that for the 2025-26 bull run. Im talking about something off-platform, something that would bring us in a nice income or any income would be nice. I have no idea what, thinking out loud, crypto game, NFT marketplace and collection, defi farm, defi staking or something im not even aware of yet. Maybe some crypto game charger comes in 6-9 months and changes the plan.
So I dont know what we are going to do but I do know that I dont have the knowledge to take on such a task at the minute. I am willing to learn as I find most things are not that hard when you actually try them. I know that I am too lazy to learn to code so this is my main weakness and it's been holding us back. I've been saying to myself for the past 18 months im gonna get started and learn but I never feel motivated to do it so im thinking it's time to admit to myself I'll never actually learn to code and should just pay someone else to do it for us.
Taking baby steps is the best way I think to get my back into the game on website and project designing again. Building a basic information website is the easiest way to get started. It's been over a decade since i built a WordPress site but I've been looking and I remember all the basics, the interface has changed alot since then but youtube is a hell of a resource and everything is coming back.
The site will contain tabs along the top. Each tab is different crypto so the 1st tab would be SPinvest homepage with all information, explainer video and links to hive.engine. If i can figure a way to set up new HIVE accounts, I have 700 account tokens collected from RC's from the STEEM days. There would be 5-10 pages in total. Maybe 5 crypto news pages, 1 for "BTC", 1 for "ETH", 1 for "top news", 1 for "all news", 1 for "defi news". 1 page that displays a live crypto feed from coingecko. Maybe a "coming soon airdrops" page would work while. Things like this that are auto-updated so no work is required after launch.
The total cost will not be that much. I'd put a guess on $200 for a domain name, hosting, getting it built and maybe buying a theme and a few plug-ins. We'll get it built-in WordPress shared by someone that can whip up someone nice and then change the password's after it's been delivered. From there, I'll make the homepage and any additional SPinvest related informational pages. After this is done, we launch it.
We can have it built to include affiliate links but im not sure I wanna use my personal, AdSense, Amazon, eBay or other accounts to collect prob no earnings. We'll work away around that, maybe just promote crypto exchanges instead. Coinbase and Binanace i guess. We can have the banners and the site might get hit by some organic traffic.
That's it in a nutshell. Basic crypto news website with 5-10 pages.

Which one do you like the best? .io is around 拢30 and the rest around 拢18 so pretty much all the same cost. We'll pay for hosting yearly because dont wanna set up a direct debit for this.

Nice easy simple project to get some grease on the wheel to get us started. Mostly no work to be honest, just producing 2-3 WordPress pages and upload. Talking with a coder, getting a domain, setting up hosting is no work 馃榿
