Tips if you want them would be to let them rise once, knock the air out and, shape them. Let them proof one more time before putting them into the oven. 3 times and the yeast is starting loss it's power. This could be why they are little more dense than you would have liked.
Sugar and heat activate yeast and salt kills it. If you really wonna add more salt, add a little sugar as well so you still get nice fluffy rolls.
Your spacing looks perfect, i can see they ave baked into each other but just enough to be touching. Them's some good looking rolls.
Just a small twist if you're looking to mix it up, brush them with a little water after you have shaped them and put them on to the pan and then sprinkle some coarse cracked black pepper on top, of course, you could use poppy seeds are sesame seeds as well. It won't make a big difference to the taste but they will look super fancy, lol
