Hello SPIers, as many of you will have noticed, many HIVE projects are having issues with distributing rewards. If you are unaware, one of our top witnesses got hacked and this has been playing havoc with HIVE SQL, the project the witness operates. Always very sad to see people getting hacked, we had one of our top SPI investors get hacked around 2 years back. It's something I worry about with our SPI, EDS and DAB HIVE wallets, holding around 100k in HIVE each.
What is this HIVE SQL?
HiveSQL is a public database with all the Hive blockchain data
Why do we need it?
It has no use case for the average HIVE user unless they are looking old blockchain data. But..for many HIVE projects, it is a necessity because thier bots can read the data and use that information to automate actions such as rewards, upvotes and many other things.
Is it being fixed?
Not sure to be honest, I have been asking around Discord but nobody seems to know what's going on, or how long it will be until it's up and running again are even if it ever comes back.
This is bad times for HIVE. I've been on HIVE since it was STEEM and from my memory when we have a big issue like this, we move on. My guess is the HIVE SQL will be rebuilt completely from new. This is like a clean slate which sounds good, more safe but it means everything connected to the current SQL will never work again meaning HIVE projects coders/devs need to get busy programing new bots. This could be almost the same as moving everything from STEEM to HIVE when we forked.
I hope im wrong and it's a simple fix but its been a few days already so this is looking unlucky.
How is SPinvest affected?
So far, most of our bots have had to distribute rewards so im 90% sure which what is working and what is not.

You can a few of our things are not working but at least the main SPI and EDS HIVE dividends are still working.
Anyway, this should let you know what you should still get and what you will not get. All rewards that are not going out are still being sent to payment accounts as normal so when things do get back and running again, if they do, everyone will be back paid right away.
