It is one thing to have a data breach, it happens, but not letting users know that their data is compromised is next to criminal.

I would like to let everyone know that I will be suspending my facebook account for the next 6 months in order to boycott Facebook's blatant disregard for data safety measures. I will be available on Linkedin and Steemit, two companies that have shown they can prioritize user's safety over making a quick buck.

I don't just want a simple "sorry" from Zuckerberg. If Facebook is unable to protect its users from fake news and illegal data gathering, then it might just be time to move on.
