I was training as a photographer and went to visit Southall in London. I was in paradise, surrounded by cultural diversity, the sights and smells amazed me, shops full of colourful fabric, strange fruit and veg, jewellery and of course the restaurants. I didn't know where to begin or how to depict to me was such an exotic place. I decided to sit in front of a telephone box that reminded me of a temple and photo passers by. I did this for several days and this is the result.
