Hello, fellow Steemians, my slave name is Luis Cantu, and this is the story of how my consciousness was lead to this beautiful place: Back in 2010, a few months after Satoshi Nakamoto published the legendary whitepaper, my friend was into Minecraft's Beta release, and as he was collecting wood in this virtual space, he playfully foretold the future of cryptocurrencies like some sort of time wizard, almost teasing me with the "pop" sounds emitting from his gameplay. He threw around phrases like, "Bitcoin will go down as the single greatest wealth distribution of all time, get some while it's dirt cheap". I failed to notice the synchronicity and cosmic probability of the increasing dirt stacks in his HUD matching up with his claims of Bitcoin's eventual rise. The universe was sending hints at me over and over again, but my young mind raced for explanations, and like many of us, cognitive dissonance kicked in, and I simply reasoned away the tales with my then fiat/centralization mentality.
Fast forward to 2013, and I felt this deep sense of guilt when I stumbled into Bitcoin a fifth time and realized how much it was worth then. It's almost as if there is this huge learning curve that action lags behind - the self-awareness of this internal latency is what eventually led me to invest in my first Bitcoin purchase. Around this time the entire internet was hating on Bitcoin because Ross Ulbricht, the infamous Dread Pirate Roberts, was arrested and, consequently, the news of the Silk Road went mainstream, so I lucked out and bought in during the dip of a bear market.
A few months later, Bitcoin began skyrocketing and this is when I first realized what kind of technology we were dealing with. I began to obsess over the Blockchain and the future of cryptocurrencies. I dove headfirst into the infamous rabbit hole swirling deep into a state of constant consumption and unequivocal passion. Along the way, I learned many lessons from my mistakes - from losing seeds to being hacked - my confidence in this field steadily grew, until out of nowhere, my then girlfriend of 5 years decided to break up with me, something about a boy she had met in college. Man, I'll tell you this: if you invest your neurochemistry into another's alchemical vessel, you are risking depression and demotivating yourself from the natural drive the cryptoverse can bring. Be careful who you are trusting your emotions with.
Anyways, fast forward to December 12th, 2017 - I was listening to the success story video by Trevon James while indulging in some herbal meditation, and somehow, that video turned something inside me that inspired the cryptospark to rekindle, and over the next coming days, off I went on a quest to reintegrate myself into the cryptoculture, and to catch up with all these new innovations. It almost feels as if though every month is 10 years in the cryptoverse - and it keeps getting faster. I feel so behind. I feel like I have to read months of information to catch up to my fellow cryptonians, but, fortunately, finding a decentralized social media platform like Steemit has completely changed my outlook on life. I stopped posting content on Youtube. I stopped posting blogs and videos on centralized platforms altogether. After seven years of providing content for centralized platforms in exchange for crumbs, I have committed to providing high-quality content for this amazing platform. I hope that over the years I can learn from you, and adapt to this environment; All I can do is promise that I will sacrifice all the time necessary to bring value to this place. My first post was ignorantly full of ICO links, incorrect formatting, and a bunch of mistakes, but I quickly learned that if I am to bring value into this platform, it will have to be by sharing what I learned over the years studying the cryptoverse, cybernetic shamanism, and spirituality.
