The device is an add-on to an existing door lock and can be managed by a mobile application. All we have to do is connect them to our lock and voila, that's it. This Xiaomi Sherlock can open and close via Xiaomi application even remote access. What's more, there is no need to change anything or drill onto your existing door, besides that outside you will still able to unlock by using regular key.

The device allows you to create different virtual keys for household members. You can also create keys with a specific validity period (it useful if you Airbnb)

This device is install indoor, therefore you can still use the conventional key.

The Xiaomi Sherlock M1 also has a built-in security chip (MJSC) that has a unique key and certificate. This chip is to responsible for ensuring security - two-step encryption - during communication with the lock.
