Compliments of the season my fellow hivers.
Let's talk about how I spent my day with friends I passed through hell with side by side today ☺️.
As you may guess, I am talking about my secondary school classmates.... I went to Saint Teresa's College, Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria.
A mission School with a high level of discipline where students struggle to survive academically and otherwise but I am not here to talk about those good old days now.
Here, I Want To Talk About Our Reunion ☺️
It's been five(5) years since my set graduated from secondary school and a lot has happened within those years but we decided to meet ourselves again this December.
The planning has not been easy but we got the dice rolling regardless.
As a part of the reunion activities, we had football match today and guess where was the venue?
My secondary school pitch😂
Most of us arrived by 9am and others kept on coming even as at 11am depending on the distance the person was coming from.
We started the football match immediately it was 9:30am.
It was just for fun and indeed we played it like brothers.
We divided ourselves and played 5-aside, what we call small post or JoJo here.
We played at length but most of us were tired just some minutes into the game because it has been long most of us played football but it was all good.
Seeing men who played 90mins in a full pitch back then in those days as they couldn't even play more than 30minutes today was fun and we all made jokes about it...
You should have seen how happy I was watching the joy in all our faces.
I couldn't miss out taking some cool pictures there so I had my friends who are good with cameras do the job and they did excellent while I also did excellent finding nice poses, I think 😂
This pose in particular is for Manchester United fans😂
It's a pose new players take when they are signed into another club and if you are a football fan you must be conversant with the heartbreak Manchester United fans suffered recently in losing a player they thought they already had, Gakpo.
But in my benevolence, I can be their Gakpo if they come for me 😂😂
Trying to display our name, STOBA 0'17 which meant Saint Teresa's Old Boy's Association class of 2017.
Everybody is just so so happy.... My friends that have graduated from the university this year giving us graduate vibes 😂
Now get to see a very wonderful grip from me😂
Happiness overjoy.... Connecting with old time friends is really a good therapy for good health.
Grabbing the ball like I scored a hatty when I just assisted one goal😂
My brother from the same hometown.. we met during one of our village meetings in JSSS1 and we have really been helpful to each other even up until this day.
A very good friend of mine since we entered JSSS1 now has a big tummy that he can't run around the pitch 🤣
As you can see, I am still fit because even at the university, I still play football.
I just love football so much☺️
You can peep into our faces and see how happy we are seeing each other after so many years.... It was indeed a memorable one for us all.
JOY FROM WITHIN INDEED.
All the pictures are mine
Thanks for reading through 👍
